Let that sink in for a second. Three days - over 4,000 deaths.
I saw my twenty-something brother today and mentioned the earthquake. He had only vaguely heard of it. I work in an international college setting and we have a group of Nepalese students. Still, I find it hard to comprehend how natural disasters cause these human death tolls and still people are unaware. You could say my brother is living under a rock, but I know with certainty there are many others in his shoes. I'm not sure what statement I'm trying to make with this; just that it saddens me. The Nepalese people are losing everything, and many U.S. citizens do not know the country even exists.
This may be more of a rant about the media. I'm not sure. Either way, #prayfornepal and donate here: https://www.crowdrise.com/NepalEarthquakeFund/fundraiser/urgensherpa
